Early 2027  ·  London  ·  Up to 15 Founders

By Application Only

Pre-Diligence Simulation Masterclass

Stop leaving valuation on the table because of problems investors spot before you do.

"I am about to raise significant capital and I cannot afford to discover a problem halfway through diligence."

"I am planning an exit in the next two to three years and I want to know where the landmines are before an acquirer finds them."

"I have already raised once. I know the next round will be much harder."

The Founders Room™ is a pre-diligence simulation. You will experience investor scrutiny, diligence scrutiny and governance scrutiny before you meet the investor. You will not be told where the gaps are. You will discover them yourself.

For twenty years I have watched exceptional founders leave millions of pounds of value on the table.

Not because the product was weak. Not because the market was wrong. Not because investors were uninterested.

The product is usually brilliant. The business is usually valuable. The infrastructure required to capture that value is what is broken.

Because the infrastructure behind the business was not ready for the scale of capital they were trying to raise.

I have seen governance gaps reduce valuations, increase dilution, delay transactions, derail diligence processes and weaken negotiating positions. The same mistakes. Repeatedly. Across twenty years.

I have watched founders who raised from the right people at the wrong moment because a cap table issue they did not know existed became a six-month delay. I have watched founders lose negotiating power at the term sheet stage because an investor found something in diligence they should have found first.

The question is not whether your business is valuable. The question is whether your business is structured to capture that value when the moment arrives.

The Founders Room™ was created to close that gap. Before investors find it. Before acquirers find it. Before it costs you the deal you should have won.

What This Is

Part simulation. Part masterclass. One outcome: clarity.

You will arrive prepared for any investor conversation. The scrutiny you face in this room mirrors what you will face in the real one. The tools are proprietary. The discoveries are yours.

Founders do not leave saying "I was told I had a problem."
They leave saying "I discovered the problem myself."
That is a completely different outcome.

Founders who have built something valuable and intend to keep it that way.

This room is for scaling founders who know that the next round, the next transaction, or the next regulatory encounter will be harder than the last. Applications are reviewed individually. Up to 15 founders per event.

Not right for you if

You are pre-product or pre-traction. The Founders Room™ is built for founders at the moment when governance becomes the difference between a deal and a near miss. If you are still finding product-market fit, this is not yet your room.

Voices in the Room

The people in this room have built, raised, scaled and exited.

The Founders Room™ brings together founders, investors, advisers and market leaders who have raised capital, navigated exits, led IPOs and built organisations at scale.

Contributors may include perspectives from leaders across venture capital, public markets, private equity, governance, leadership and founder performance.

I have sat on both sides of the table. For twenty years.

I have been on the buy side. The sell side. Through acquisitions, through IPOs, through diligence processes, through regulatory scrutiny. And I have watched the same governance mistakes happen repeatedly. In businesses of every size. At every stage.

I founded The Founders Room™ because I kept having the same conversation with funded founders: exceptional products, serious ambition, and governance infrastructure that was about to cost them the deal they should have won. Every exercise in the room is drawn from real diligence. Real transactions. Real consequences.

Before You Apply

The questions founders ask.

Answers to what the room is, who it is right for, and what makes it worth a day of your time.

Why The Founders Room™?

Because the cost of discovering a governance problem in diligence is typically measured in months of delay, points of dilution, or deals that do not close. Founders who discover their own gaps before investors do raise more, negotiate better and exit cleaner. The Founders Room™ exists so you find the problem first.

Is this right for my stage?

The Founders Room™ is designed for founders from seed through to Series D who are preparing for a significant capital event, regulatory encounter or exit. If you have a product, traction and ambition, and you know your foundations have gaps, this is the right room.

What will I actually leave with?

A signed 90-day action plan built around your specific gaps. A clear picture of where your institutional readiness sits today. The knowledge of what investors will look for before you walk into their room. And the connections from a curated group of founders at exactly the same stage.

Is this legal advice?

No. The Founders Room™ is a pre-diligence simulation and governance diagnostic. It gives you the knowledge, the frameworks and the confidence to have the right conversations with your own lawyers and investors. Founders who want ongoing advisory support can discuss that with Seed to IPO Governance separately.

How selective is the process?

Every application is reviewed individually. The room works because the founders in it are at a similar stage with similar ambition. We accept up to 15 founders per event. Not every application is accepted. If yours is not right for this cohort, we will tell you why and when the next might be a better fit.

I am a technical founder. Is this for me?

Especially so. Technical founders build exceptional products and typically have the most to gain. The governance gaps are largest where the commercial literacy is newest. The room is built for founders who are brilliant at what they build and honest about what they have not yet built behind it.

What is Chatham House Rules?

Everything said in the room stays in the room. Founders can speak freely about their business, their challenges and their concerns without those conversations leaving. No pitching. No selling. No recording. A genuinely safe space for a genuinely honest day.

What happens after the day?

You leave with your 90-day plan. The room is complete in itself. Founders who want ongoing support can discuss retained advisory with Seed to IPO Governance separately. What you do with the day is entirely your choice.

Up to 15 places. Early 2027. London.

Applications are reviewed individually. Tell us about your business and where you are in your journey. We will come back to you within five working days to discuss whether this is the right moment.
